The Foster's Visit

We were lucky enough to have our friends, The Foster's, visit us at the beginning of October. Steph met Melissa and Greg in Houston and we have kept in touch ever since. They now live in Tennessee and Dustin and I were able to visit them there in 2008 after their son, Brandon, was born. They now have Sophie too, who is precious!!!!

We had a wonderful time while they were here and Beau and Brandon were good pals.

Obviously we took them on the short tour at Coors and got a picture with the copper kettle!

A New Canvas

It has certainly been a very busy year around our house. I think that I am the mater of creating projects and that while our house had been "redone," we have learned they skipped a few corners. I know this really frustrates Dustin (and me too), so if anyone ever needs to know how to spot "bad" work, let us know. I am really proud of what we have accomplished and still know this was the right decision.

The house "as is" when we purcahsed it in August 2009.
After painting the shutters and getting new windows...
Beau and I watching as they put up the new siding...
It's looking REALLY different!

It's getting close, please move the port-o-potty!

While we were getting the new siding, we decide to put in a service door to the garage and replace the posts under the porch in front. Dustin was a tropped doing these jobs at the last minute!
The final results....
Tada!!!!
The back

Of course we had some projects to finish up inside too...
Dustin got the railing up after it had been missing for over a year. It was worth the wait! I love the rod iron. The old one was all white.

I finally finished hanging some decorations in the living room.

It took me forever to figure out how I wanted to arrange the crosses and what saying I wanted (thanks Kristine and Uppercase Living).

We're Getting Old

It is really hard to believe that so many of our friends our turing 30!!!! Where did the time go. Amber had a party in Colorado with a wig theme. I wasn't sure I wanted to wear a wig at first, but it turned out to be pretty fun...

To no surprise, Dustin wanted a mullet wig and we couldn't get Beau to keep a wig on.

It's sad, but this is probably one of the few pictures of Jenny and I since the kiddos were born.

Beau is already practicing being a gentleman with Capriana

I love his expression in this one!

Chaffee County Fair

Even though Dustin was out of town this past weekend, Beau and I headed down to the Chaffee County Fair with the Kerrigan crew. We had a great time!!!

Beau in his cowboy outfit. Grandma B and Aunt Carrie made sure that he had his own pair of Carharts for the event.

Sportin' his boots (that are way too big still).

I like this picture :o)

Beau had enough walking around.

Norah, Jaqueline, Claudia, and Beau

Beau looking for coins in the sawdust pile.

He did really well and actually gor $2.20, enough for 220 horse rides at the grocery store!

Beau wasn't sure about Uncle Corbin's pigs at first, however, by the end he was in the pen with them pulling their tails.

Beau and Grandma checked out all the animals together.

Ahhh, goats!

Look mommy, these are chicks.

Why is the sheep wearing a coat?

The highlight of the day for Beau was ridding the pony (I guess the $5 was worth his joy).

When we got home, he wanted to put his clothes back on...

He tried really hard, buy got his pants on backwards.

Beau and Homer

At Christmas, my cousin's Nate and Sean went with Spencer to Dave and Busters and they came home with a Homer doll for Beau. He has loved it and can even say "Doh!" It's like Beau's brother now and he was more than happy to pose for pictures with him.

Firemen Homer and Beau

Beau really wanted Homer to hit it.

That was hard work, I need a break!

Bath Time

Beau really looks forward to bath time now because he usually gets to finger paint before hand. He is really helpful and gets out the paints and paper for us. Recently he has gotten into painting himself...

It took some work to make this pictures acceptable for viewing by all!

Busy Weekend with Grandma B

Grandma Bennetts was able to come spend the weekend with us while Uncle Corbin was at a wrestling camp at Mines. It was a nice (but hot) weekend, so we were able to do some fun things..

We took Beau to play his first round of miniature golf at the same place Dustin and I went on our first date. It is a great place with lots of entertainment. He was somewhat interested.

This was at the beginning before his ball disappeared.

Beau didn't quite understand the point was to play each hole.

Mom was nice enough to share her ball with Beau. Even with Beau's help, Dad still managed to win. He was the one keeping score, so that seems a little suspect :o)
We also went to Buffalo Bill Days in Golden, which has become and annual tradition.
Grandma B, Beau actually wearing his shades, and Daddy

Beau enjoying the duck race from the bank of Clear Creek

Yes, I am a bad mom and let Beau eat some of my nachos. He really liked them!

Grandma B and Beau took a train ride around Golden together. To no surprise, he didn't want to get off.

Wish I could have gone too!

Beau and daddy were "skipping" rocks in Clear Creek.

Surprise, Beau didn't want to stop doing that either. I am sure he will appreciate this pictures someday :o)
