Beau Daniel has arrived!

Beau Dainel Bennetts arrived on November 30th at 10:36pm! He weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and measured 19.25 inches long. I was in labor for almost 24 hours with him, but it was worth every moment...

November Baby Shower

My godmother Kristine and great Aunt Marguerite hosted a shower for the baby and I on November 1st. It was great because my best friend, Lissa, flew in from Texas and my cousin, Ashley, was also in town for it.

Baby B's Nursery

Baby B has a nursery when he/she comes home! It took a lot of work, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It is really nice having it done, and I was even able to have it ready before my best friend, Lissa, came in from Texas (thanks for the extra motivation).

A few before pics...

I am sure that most of you will not be surprised that the theme of the nursery is "Down Under." I found the set online and immediately knew it was the one. I showed it to Dustin and he thought it was nice (which was probably as much excitement as I was going to get from him). I ordered it right away and when it showed up the next week, Dustin was surprised. I guess he didn't realize "we" had made a final decision.
The greens, yellow, and oranges are perfect for him/her and the koalas, kangaroos, and crocodiles are precious. I told Dustin that we will have to go to Australia soon, so that he and the baby can appreciate my love of it.
My friend, Mary, "helped" pick out the paint colors and they turned out perfect!
I wanted lighter furniture at first, but I am glad we ended up with the darker color

Of course I bought almost every piece of the set. Who can resist the nightlight and light plate switch cover!
Hopefully the baby is as happy with his/her new room as we are :o)

Still Growing

Here are some more belly pics...

A little over 30 weeks

About 30 weeks

34 weeks

Looking much bigger!

We went to the doctor's today and everything is fine with Baby B! He or she is head down, so hopefully it will stay that way until the big day. It is hard to believe he/she will be here so soon. We got the nursery done last weekend, so I will post pictures of it soon :o)

Baby Shower

My best friend Jenny (who is also expecting) threw me a wonderful baby shower on October 12th. We had lots of yummy food and great company :o)

Jenny hard at work

My friend, Amber, was able to fly in from SLC for the shower!!!!

My mom made a diaper cake using the valences from Baby B's nursery, it was SO cute!
The tiramisu cake from Tony's dad's deli, yummy!!!!
The baby got lots of great gifts! This was one of my favorites outfits that says "I Love My Daddy." I can't wait for he/she to wear it :o)

My friend, Darcrea, made a poster of the 10 Commandments for Parents. It brought me to tears reading it, and I am so thankful to have a daily reminder of what it is going to take to be a good parent.
My friend, Kendra, handmade Baby B a robe. It is awesome and is a really special gift.

Kentucky Trip

We headed back to Kentucky this past weekend for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. This was Dustin's first "real" trip to KY (we spent the night there on our way back from moving him from ATL in 2005).

We were able to do a little sightseeing while there... Dustin outside the Louisville Slugger Factory
Dustin, Steph, & Baby B
Dustin with the Dustin Pedroia Bat

We also were able to visit the Jim Beam Distillery outside of Louisville...

Pictures from the 50th Anniversary celebration...

On Sunday, the family was supposed to get together to eat leftovers from the party. Little did we know that the remnants of Hurricane Ike would turn Louisville upside down with its winds! The power went out (and still hasn't come on for some of my family), so we ate and played Mexican train by candle light. My family also surprised Dustin and I with a baby shower. I had no idea and it was so thoughtful. The only bad part was not everyone was able to be there because of the downed power lines so we did two "mini" showers.
