The firsts continue...

Beau went to the doctor on Wednesday for his 6 month check-up, more shots :o( He was 13 lbs 10 oz and 25 3/4 inches (I am not sure this was right). This puts him in the 1st percentile by weight and 27th by height. I can't believe how small he is, but he is happy and growing, so I am not going to worry...

Beau is beginning to get the hang of his sippy cup. At first he would hold the water in his mouth and then spit it all out!
Beau's first bite of green beans, which haven't become a favorite yet.

Okay, maybe they aren't too bad.

View ar your own risk!

Beau has now been eating solid foods for about 2 weeks now. First it was the rice cereal, then I made sweet potatoes and apples. He loved the sweet potatoes, but I think the apples I picked were a little too tart. On our 4 hour drive back from Grand Junction, I checked on Beau to see if we needed to stop. Things were a little smelly, so we decided to pull off at a rest stop. The truck was packed tight, so I was just going to pull him out of the car seat. I took the blanket out and then realized the smell was a little worse than I thought. I looked down at his leg and saw this....

Thanks goodness we had a plastic bag and that his clothes fit over his shoulders. Needless to say we have cut back on the apples! I don't know how many wipes we used, but he eventually was clean and the car seat was good enough for him to ride the rest of the way home in. I did have to take it completely apart and wash it. Dustin was disgusted, but I was surprised how well I took the whole situation in stride...

Beau's first wedding...

On top of Aunt Carrie's graduation, we drove to Grand Junction (4 hours in the rain) for our friends Jen and Seth's wedding at the Two Rivers Winery. The rain was kind enough to let up for the ceremony and the sun even came out.

Daddy taught Beau how to two step.
All the noises were a lot for Beau and by the end of the night he was just lounging on my lap.

Brandi held sleeping Beau so Mommy and Daddy could dance...
While we were on the Western Slope, we had the chance to visit with all of Dustin's dad's side of the family too!

Graduation and Woody

Aunt Carrie graduated from high school this past weekend! Beau was really good and sat on the bleachers between Dustin and I for most of the time...

Summer is here!

It's official! Summer is here... The temperature got over 90F for the first time this week and it seems that Beau got his daddy's sweat glands :o) I don't have to worry about him being too cold at night.

Beau started sitting up all by himself this week and was enjoying feeling the grass.

Uncle Spencer was nice enough to let Beau "drive" his car.

Beau was practicing "cruising" and yelling to the cute babies!

Beau's Firsts...

Beau has had a lot of "firsts" lately, so I thought I should highlight them....
First time meeting a pig (right before the whole Swine flu thing)
First trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science...
Grandpa, Mommy, and Beau in the dinosaur exhibit

Grandpa and Beau after his first museum trip
Beau did attend his first Rockies Game, however, we had to leave after the 4th inning because it was a little too much for our easy going guy. Daddy will be enjoying most of the games with someone else until later this Fall when we try again...
Mommy and Beau at Jackson's before the game
Daddy and Beau at Coors Field!

It wasn't the warmest night...

We started Beau on rice cereal about two weeks ago and he took to it really well!

Blake's Graduation

We all celebrated Blake's graduation from CSU! We are so proud of him and it sounds like he might be in Denver right now, which really excites Beau!

Beau wanted to make sure he looked good in a cap before he went to all the work of going through school. I think he decided it would be worth it!

It is scary how quickly his time will come...
